Final Year Project
I aim to create an artificial general intelligence algorithm that capable of playing Atari 2600 games using only the screen pixels and score as input. This has been an area of much research recently and I hope to replicate the latest breakthroughs and then extend them by applying my own ideas. Among other techniques, I plan to use convolutional neural networks, reinforcement learning and one-shot learning.

Experience
Hack Keele
Co-founder and Organiser
I co-founded Hack Keele society at Keele University and help to run it. I wanted to create a collaborative community within the university for proactive students interested in technology to share knowledge and work on projects. I created all our branding and the website, as well as helping to manage the social media.
We hold meetups every week, where we work on projects and teach relevant technical skills for the workplace, including how to use GitHub and Docker. Additionally, we have a Hack Day planned and a 24 hour MLH hackathon set for next year. I help to fundraise and personally manage all connections to external organisations.
I secured free access for our members to IBM’s Watson and Bluemix to launch a collaborative project and solve the universities car parking problem. I manage raising sponsorship and currently in talks with leading technology organisations.
HM Government
Cyber Internship
During my internship at a Government department I undertook an intense cyber training course aimed at transforming students into highly competent ‘Cyberists’. A wide range of skills were taught which included, evasion & ethical pen testing, secure software engineering, networking, reverse engineering, low level OS & windows internals, C programming, information assurance and IOT.
I also worked in teams for CTF’s, packet analysis, SOC and IA challenges. Adding to this I undertook a personal project. I decided to create a cyber security chatbot that would help make naïve users more secure by providing a more intuitive way to interact with cyber security whilst abstracting the complexities.
Ascot Business Solutions
IT & Marketing
My role involved a mix of IT and marketing. I was the sole web developer for three websites, mainly being responsible for an e-commerce site. I had the task of fixing pre-existing errors throughout the site and reducing the load times. Afterwards, I updated the aesthetics by creating a consistent professional look and implemented a much smoother user experience. I also developed a new website to advertise the main software product we sold.
As it is a small business I had to be flexible and multi-disciplined, switching from technical to marketing tasks like creating a SEO strategy and customer support. I was trusted to self-manage my work and devise strategies to take the business forward.
